After a successful career in the RAF in which his final post was as Director of Training and Education Policy for all 3 armed forces, Martin was appointed Chief Executive of the Association of Colleges representing FE and Sixth Form Colleges. He then moved to UCL Institute of Education as the first Professor of Leadership in Further Education and Skills. After a further period as a Honorary Professor, Martin now advises a number of colleges and independent providers.
